How workers affect the vibration of what should be a nice walk through a park

Once I started to "wake up", as some people may call it, letting my IT business burn and just completely ignoring anything to do with it (it all seemed so irrelevant and pointless) I started to look around and wonder what sort of "work" I could do.  As I mentioned in a previous blog post titled working at the public library  where I discuss how most people don't actually help anyone, especially the people that have been designated helpers!  I once asked my daughter what work meant to her when she was about 3 and her answer, without any thought was "helping people".  Well I really don't think that's the case anymore especially when you really look around.  Most jobs aren't actually helping anyone and what they are doing is making a shit load of notice, affecting vibration in a way that most people don't understand and making money to employ more workers to do more of the same.

irrelevant fences that they ruin parks with, creating days if not weeks of noise and all for a "fun" event that normally costs money and is only for a few days!

These are the kind of irrelevant fences you see around any nice park when they want to create a load of jobs for the boys!

And Sophia Gardens this morning was no exception.  You can't link to Sophia Gardens on google without having to go through something mentioning the boring game of cricket so I'm not going to do it.  Why hasn't the park got a listing all of it's own and not through the bullshit things the cricket ground want you to see!  Apparently it's all owned by the council now and is part of the castle gardens.  As far as I can tell the Cardiff Council love Cricket and using a park for anything other than chilling out and enjoying a nice space with a nice vibration.  So you can see where it is on the map below which isn't Google controlled.

So what you find is that these type of "government" or governed-mind parks generally spend a lot of their time with things like this going on.  Creating weeks or days of disturbance and noise, ruining the atmosphere and vibration of the park for something they can then charge for that only lasts a few days and will also have loads of other business their doing the same with all their vans, tents etc etc.  This time it looks like some kind of dinosaur event going on! sigh....

It looks like it's this event here:

Jurassic Kingdom in Cardiff dates, tickets, where it is, opening times and where to park - Wales Online

Which as you can see is a paid event selling tickets and shutting off what should be a free park to walk through and enjoy.  I suppose the kids will enjoy it, they don't understand the problem with it and the parents have worked all week long and need something to spend their money on to justify doing so!  In all seriousness what else is there for them to do to keep their kids entertained.  On the face of it though, there will be huge chunks of plastic, shaped like dinosaurs for the kids to climb on as long as the parents have bought a ticket.  Then there will likely be loads of stalls and businesses that have paid for the privilege to be there selling you overpriced snacks, drinks and gifts for you to put in your gob.

It all just feels so pointless and irrelevant to me now and would rather see kids playing football or running about playing in a park rather than all this effort for a few days of spending money.  The fences hadn't even been put up properly and you can just step through the middle of them or enter the "danger area" another way.  They whole thing is just completely irrelevant and creating an enormous amount of job for admin staff, sign writers, fence builders, tent builders, risk assessors etc. etc, you can only imagine how many pointless jobs are involved in it.

To top it of there is a van parked up on what should be a pedestrianised area, which has now been completely taken over by "workers" with branding on it and a company name of "Relevance"!  I mean does anyone else see the irony here or is it just me!!  I think these days it's just me as everyone is just carrying on as if it's perfectly acceptable and the kids and families are all getting very excited about the whole thing, so what can you really do apart from moan about it in a blog!
