Mobile phones - less efficient than a computer - more controlled and locked down with Apps

Coming from an IT background, training in computer support and running my own IT support business, you learn what works and what doesn't when staring at a screen.  It seems the world is being conditioned to keep people staring at screens for as long as possible and preferably a mobile phone and there are various reasons (I've come to realise) for this.

Almost every store or restaurant that is drawing in a large amount of people or footfall is now offering deals (and pretty good ones) if you download their app and use it for ordering your food, kind of like a club card with much better deals.  Being homeless I like to use the offers you get at McDonalds or Burger King as lets face it, they are the cheapest burgers in town.  Yeah you do have to deal with fly's in some of the stores and a toilet code to get you into toilets that have been inappropriately cleaned, however if you compare that to a festival, where the toilets are frankly worse a burger is still £5 at least.  If you fill out the survey on the receipts McDonalds will give you a code to use that gets you a BigMac and Chips for £1.99 which is a pretty good deal.  Burger king will give you a free Whopper if you buy chips and a drink which comes to around £3 depending on which drink you have.  Once I spent just over £5 and had both offers as Burger King in Cardiff was just around the corner from McDonald's.  That's not a bad price for the amount of food I got.

Mobile phones - less efficient than a computer - more controlled and locked down with Apps.......but you do get amazing deals so we may as well just carry on....or should we?

So when I was in McDonalds and Burger king using the one offer available to me being phoneless I noticed people using the digital screens and had a look at some of the offers they get when they use the app and login to their account.  This is an account linked to their name which tracks, analyses and monitors them in a way that is so deep people really have no idea.  The other thing you notice while being in these stores is the little computer screens that they let the kids play on, they have random games on them but I can't do a simple thing like check my emails, why is that?  Why would a store as efficient as McDonalds at serving the public and making money not let you do a basic thing like check your emails on the multiple screens they have available?  Why would the tiny screens they let the kids use run like a bag of shit and why would the touch screen barely be functional?

Meanwhile the smaller screens (phones) which the adults are holding and passing to their kids a lot of the time work perfectly and so do the large ones you make your orders on.  Although the screens work perfectly on a phone the apps do not.  They are dysfunctional a lot of the time, annoying and frankly not worth the effort in my opinion.  Why is that?  McDonalds and all these places have the capability to design highly functional and clever apps to "help" the user but they don't.  It seems strange doesn't it when their goal is to get you using the phone more but is that really their long term goal?  I have a theory.....I could write it down, get it peer reviewed and have someone else write a paper when they find their truth in it but that would just be replicating the thing we already have called science!

We clearly know everything there is to know about compressed air (gas) or the spinning ball we are on don't we?...

Another blog for another time maybe as we're still on mobile phones!

It's pretty much common knowledge now, if you follow any little bit of news, even inside the mainstream media, that the end goal is for us to have chips in our hands.  In fact it is already happening in some countries.  I'm pretty sure I read an article saying they are testing "no staff" supermarkets in Birmingham and there were some volunteers that had agreed to get themselves chipped I think.  I did a quick google search and couldn't find the article so whether it was true or not or whether the whole thing got binned when a large majority of the world started to wake up around the COVID delusion I don't know.  It was as if the powers that be wanted things to be going a lot quicker and had to slow down because people weren't being as stupid as they hoped, they got lazy basically.

So now they go back to their normal slow totalitarian tiptoe style of coercing the public into what they want.  Encourage and reward mobile phone users while making life difficult for anyone that chooses not to have one.  Get enough of the population enslaved in their lives with the use of a mobile phone (with apps and software that are just irritating and poorly designed) and then I wonder who will have the solution and what the solution will be?  As David Icke says, it's always Problem, Reaction, Solution.  Cause the problem - Mobile phones are shit, Create a reaction - We're angry because they are crap and we can't live life without them, and then provide the solution - We could provide you with a computer in the palm of your hand in the form of a chip and if you're not ready for that have you thought about a smart watch with a sim card in it?

In some ways it's kind of a seductive thought.  Being a techie, the thought of wearing a smart watch and being able to call my self driving Tesla car to come and pick me up like Knight Rider feels like great fun.  However what freedoms am I giving away to be able to do that.  The cost involved in owning any of these things will likely be impossible unless you are working and paying an awful lot of tax.  No thanks - I would rather try and have fun for free thanks, which is also getting harder and harder to do.  I'm currently on a mission to find a free tennis court to play on in Plymouth, can I find one?   The answer is no, not yet!  It seems all the free public tennis courts that were once free have now been taken over by the LTA and guess what you need to sign up, register and pay for them!  This angers me like you wouldn't believe and when you walk around talking to people it's just an accepted thing now.  Frankly they need to justify the ridiculous hours they work doing whatever ridiculous job they are doing by paying for something, so why not some well attended, controlled and manipulated fun in the form of sport.

This is why we have no good sports people in this country and when they do provide free places to play sports it's designed with intent and purpose to ruin vibration, create a shit load of noise and frankly make it impossible for anyone to improve unless they join a club and pay ........more tax!  That is definitely another blog post for another time as this is a big subject.

For now I think I've maid my point about mobile phones, not that anyone cares as they just love staring at a screen.  Me too, at the public library it would seem, however when you think about it what the hell else is there to do for free!
